Here at Shaping Lives Dance Studio we focus on more than just dance. The goal of Shaping Lives is to give city opportunities to country communities through dance. We believe that as teachers we contribute to the shaping of our students’ lives and we consider this role an absolute privilege.
Shaping Lives offers dance classes for ages two to adult in four locations across Southern Queensland including Taroom, Miles, Chinchilla and Inglestone. Dance styles include, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acrobatics as well as the wonderful Imagine Program. We also have a fabulous Student Teachers enrolled in the Dance Student Teacher Education Program.
As a family of dance teachers and staff, we:
You will have the opportunity to work directly with children and parents impacting their lives through customer service and social interaction.
You will be doing things that you are already great at and doing things you love to do — managing the day-to-day dance studio interactions with parents, students, staff, and the Studio Director as well as having input into our projects. You’ll be working smart, having fun and getting paid for it!
You will always be growing and learning during your journey with us and challenged to think outside the box on a daily basis. Our teachers are a critical part of the team and receive support from our Studio Director and online resources to ensure you get the job done.
Laughing and enjoying yourself at “work” is important. This is not a 9-5, stuck-in-a-cubicle job. We give you the flexibility to contribute your own projects and we laugh a lot along the way.
There will be times when you have a deadline and you’ll need to work very hard and other times when the sun is out and I’ll suggest you go home early to get some vitamin D. We are a family, and having an environment where you can be yourself and have a good time is one of the many things we pride ourselves on.
